Biosketch:

Hao-Ping Hung received the B.S. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 2001. At the same year, he entered the Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering, National Taiwan University. He got his Ph.D degree in January, 2007. Now he serves as a senior engineer in Cyberlink Corp. His research interests include mobile computing, resource allocation in the wireless environment,  multi-media networking and data streams.

In mobile computing, his research topics are focused on the design of item scheduling policies in data broadcasting environments. His works were mainly published in the conferences including INFOCOM, GLOBECOM, ICDCS, MDM, SAC, etc. In the multimedia community, his research topics, including the cache replacement in multimedia transcoding proxies and the T-Learning systems, were published in TMM, ICME, and CCNC. His latest research topic is about the query processing from the wavelet synopses in the data stream management system (DSMS). In this domain, he has one work published in ACM CIKM 2006 and IEEE TKDE 2007.
